Message from the Editor:

My name is Steve Lyons, editor of choice-marine-supplies.com  

I was born in Richmond (Lulu Island), BC, Canada and grew up in Steveston, a small fishing village in the southwest corner of the island with my parents and two older brothers. My grandparents live close by and they have a summer cottage on an island along the beautiful BC coast. It is there, that our entire family have the pleasure of holidaying year after year. The island is a very special place and where I got my early start to water activities through boating and fishing with my Gramps.

While growing up and with the outdoors as my backyard, I was fortunate to have access to many sports including soccer, baseball, football, and skiing. Several of which I continue to enjoy today. My hobbies include travelling, soccer, researching, boating and golf. 

After high school, I attended college and then decided that travelling would be very educational and a better fit for me. Over the past 8 years I have travelled and backpacked over 20 countries, many by myself. I don't believe I would be where I am today if I hadn't ventured off. 

With my travelling on hold in 2006, I packed my belongings and headed to Zama, an oil field hamlet in northwest Alberta that has a population of 50-100. I worked very hard there and on my time off, started my publishing business and eventually moved back to BC to work on it full time. With a chosen new career in publishing, I am excited to guide people in the right direction on the world wide web.
